Life in a State of Flux

Just found a "Guarana" at a Casey's. Not quite as good as the ones in Brasil, but not bad.

I changed the title of the blog. It seems a little bit more descriptive now. I seem to live in a state of flux and I'm not talking about Indiana ;).

My world is constantly in motion and fluid. And just when I think I have it figured out...it all changes. Now I find myself struggling to let God lead me. I've been looking for a job since April 3 without much success. I find it difficult to just "wait" for God. I know in the long run that is the best thing to do, but I just feel sometimes that maybe He's too busy. Maybe I should help him out.

It's been a long time since I've stopped in or even thought about this blog. I can see that I need to come up with something witty and insightful to post here. I'll work on that and get back to you.

Helping make salad

I guess my friend Emily Jaekel is getting better. She's been in the hospital in Indianapolis for a couple of weeks now, but I guess tonight she regained her sense of humor and told her dad (Chris) that he needed to "pastor Pattie because Trouble had passed away." Ok Chris is the Pulpit Minister at our home church and Pattie is my wife, and "Trouble" is what Emily calls me. So Chris called to make sure I hadn't in fact passed away and then I decided to make this video to show Emily that I wasn't dead. Enjoy.
